Raising Funds for Adaptive bikes

Give back to the community

To address the lack of funding for adaptive bikes, we created the Dream Bike Sponsorship Program. Sadly, government programs do not cover this equipment and it is unaffordable for many families. Therefore we are seeking individuals, brands, and organizations to give back to the community by sponsoring a child’s Dream Bike.

The Dream Bike Program links non-profit organizations with businesses to finance adaptive bikes for children. These bikes are customized to each rider’s distinct abilities, enhancing their mobility and overall growth.

Why Sponsor a Child’s dream bike

Image
Community involvement
Providing an adaptive bike to a child not only offers an extra therapy tool to enhance their quality of life but also enables them to undergo a crucial developmental experience: learning to ride a bike. Witnessing a child riding their adaptive bike for the first time, with the community cheering them on, is a heartwarming experience.

Rally your team
Work with your team to think of a fun way to raise money for the Dream Bike Program. In the past, people have done things like having a bike race, selling baked goods, or building a bike together to help the Dream Bike Program. These activities are a unique and creative way to bring your team closer and give back to the community by buying an adaptive bike for a child.

Give back to the community recognition

When a company sponsors a dream bike, they have the opportunity to showcase their logo or brand colors on the bike. This not only serves as an excellent ad opportunity but additionally illustrates the company’s dedication to give back to the community.

In addition, your company will receive a 501(c)(3) donation receipt for your generous contribution.

Dream Bike Sponsorship Spotlight

Nolan’s Freedom

Nolan has three brothers he wants to keep up with. Before Nolan received his dream adaptive trike from Freedom Concepts, he would watch from the sidelines as they rode their bikes. When Nolan's mom Heather heard Nolan's trike was going to be fully funded by Clean Line Plumbing, she was thrilled. "He would be so limited and we want his life to be limitless," said Heather. Now, Nolan can participate in bike rides with his brothers and continue Finding his Freedom.

Why adaptive bikes?

For many children with physical needs or challenges, learning to ride a bike may not have been a feasible option. Physical disabilities, especially resulting from genetic or neurological conditions like cerebral palsy, often cause functional limitations and low levels of cardiorespiratory fitness that impede independent mobility. This poses difficulties for caregivers and therapists who strive to deliver meaningful and enjoyable therapeutic benefits. Studies demonstrate that adaptive tricycles offer an effective means of addressing these issues and promoting genuine change. Adaptive tricycles are customized to suit individual physical challenges, supporting riders and facilitating pedaling if possible. Beyond providing the pleasure of bike riding, adaptive tricycles additionally offer therapeutic benefits, combining therapy and fun for children.
