Backrest Extension

The backrest extension can be added to any Freedom Concepts seatback, and it adds an additional 7 inches of height. The backrest extension lengthens the backrest profile for enhanced torso support for users with poor head and neck control. It is upholstered for comfort, easy cleaning, and can easily be removed.

Occiput Cushion

The headrest with occiput cushion is the backrest extension option with the addition of an ergonomically shaped cushion supporting the users head and neck. It is made from a moisture-resistant Triptex™ fabric and has some height adjustability built-in for optimal positioning to provide support where the user needs it most.

• Provides gentle yet essential head support for users with limited cervical control or fatigue
• Helps maintain stable visual orientation and reduces risk of neck strain
• Improves comfort and endurance for users who require consistent head positioning

Custom Fit

Seatbacks can be equipped with custom mounts to attach user-specific headrests. While Freedom Concepts does not sell headrests directly, our seating is designed to work with a wide range of custom options. The adjustable head support system helps maintain proper head control for individuals who need extra support.
